It might seem difficult to install a HIDEit Mount, but luckily it isn’t! We provide all the necessary hardware; all you need to bring is a few tools and a keen eye for how you want your setup to look. Here’s everything you need to know about how to install a mount for a clean, professional setup.
*** Before you start, be sure to plan out your setup, remove any discs and unplug power from all components, including your TV. ***
1. Gather your tools - Drill with 3/16" drill bit (if you have one), stud finder, level, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, damp paper towel, and your HIDEit Hardware.
2. Determine mount location(s) - Make sure to leave space for all of your cords. To reiterate, remove discs from all devices, test your cable box for remote function. Use a level and mark your holes. Depending on the location of your install, you may need to remove your TV.
3. Check for studs - When possible, mount one side into a stud. When stud mounting do not drill pilot hole. Don't worry if it's not possible, our drywall anchors are rated for 25 pounds each.
Install Tip - For holes into a stud, use a mounting screw to create holes. A 3/16" drill bit is too large.
Install Tip - For holes into drywall, drill holes using a 3/16" drill bit. Hold a damp paper towel against the wall a few inches below the drill bit to catch any debris (if it's too close, it could get caught in the drill bit). No drill? Just use the mounting screw to create a pilot hole. Insert the provided drywall anchors.
4. Line up your HIDEit Mount with the anchors - Attach with provided screws and HAND tighten to prevent damage. Slide your component into your HIDEit Mount.
5. Insert your devices - We recommend to slowly insert your devices. All of our mounts are powder-coated for protection, but it's always best to be safe than sorry! Connect all the cables!
Install Tip - Don't forget to tidy up those cords!

Picked up the horizontal hockey stick mount for a stick my youngest got from one of the goalies of our local NAHL team, and he wanted to display it in his room.
Quick and easy to install and it seem very sturdy and well made, and makes for a very clean display.

It’s a great idea but a couple things I think would improve it. First make it in different colors, I mounted a white stick so the black stands out. Make 1 of the screw holes oblong so you can adjust the mount with out re drilling. Older sticks are wooden and heavier so the stick will tilt due to the weight.

I had looked into many mounts and I kept coming back to Hideit. I loved that it was able to keep my stick on display and safe. It was easy to install and easy to place my stick in. The only thing I don’t like is the excess space between the end on the mount and my stick. The stick has fallen once already, but the stick did not fall. I was hoping for a much tighter fit. I am happy with it, but for the higher price, I expected it to be perfect.

The mouth was super easy to install into the wall with the provided drywall and anchors and screws. I really like how the rubber protector helps to keep the sticks secured and not scratched

Bought these mounts as it is one piece instead of two separate plastic pieces. First off the structure is solid. Way more than expected. Mounting is very easy and self explanatory. After the install the rubber padding is a bonus so it won’t scratch the stick. Also, this doesn’t detract from the stick either as you can barely notice them once the stick is in place. Be careful when you mount though as each stick has a different center weight and the mount will not necessarily be centered on the stick. Very happy with the product and going to order another set for the remainder of her sticks.
