Yes. HIDEit Mounts are engineered from heavy-gauge, powder-coated steel — strong enough to hold heavy sports gear securely, and built with cutouts for airflow so your electronics stay properly ventilated.

Heavy-gauge, cold-rolled steel with a powder-coat finish — not aluminum or plastic. Aluminum’s lighter and cheaper, but it flexes and gives out under real weight; ours doesn’t flex, crack, or wear out. Some sports mounts and the Pro Controller Mount also get an added rubber dip coating, built to protect both the mount and whatever it’s holding.

Because we don’t design a mount for anything we don’t have in hand. We study how it’s actually used, where the vents are, what’s fragile and needs protecting — then Chuck and Rey test every prototype, and test again on the full production unit, before anything ships. No fake renders: what you see in our photos is what you get. That, plus real steel instead of plastic, is where the cost goes.

Not every mount is device-specific. The Uni-M and Uni-S are universal, adjustable mounts built around real device dimensions, so there’s a fit for most electronics even without a model-specific mount. Our sports mounts are tested across real sizes too — handle types and bat sizes, helmet shells for the Uni-H, ball sizes for our Universal ball mounts.
