Every HIDEit mount starts the same way ours did: with something that didn't exist yet.

In 2008, Chuck and Rey had a new Wii, a tangle of cords, and nowhere to put the console. They wanted to mount it to the wall the way they'd mounted their TV, but nobody made a bracket for a game console. So they built one.

Neither of them had run a business before. Chuck drew the first logo in Microsoft Paint. Rey took the product photos and built the website on a free site. The first order came from a stranger. Then another did. Then it didn't stop.

That's still how we build everything: we live with the gear, feel the problem ourselves, and make the mount we wish already existed. Seventeen years later, HIDEit is still 100% owned by Chuck and Rey, still a certified woman-owned small business, and every mount is still designed by our own team, in the USA.

Our Nintendo Wii mount wasn’t just a mount. It was the first game console mount on the market, full stop.
2012
The Uni-C becomes the first game controller mount anywhere, after months of prototypes cut and bent by hand to fit nearly every controller we could get.
2013
Customers kept asking for more sizes, so we moved from plastic to steel and patented the Uni-M, the first adjustable device mount, full-wrap and built to last.
2015
The MiniU mounts a Mac mini right to the back of a monitor or TV, the first VESA-mountable PC mount anywhere. Amazon noticed: #1 New Release within weeks.
2020
Before the PS5 even ships, thousands of people have already ordered a mount for a console they don’t have yet. That’s how sure we were it’d fit.

From the game room to the dugout

Sports gear piles up fast: bats, helmets, gloves, and nowhere good to put any of it. In 2019 we brought the same made-to-fit steel from our gaming mounts to the gear our own family actually uses, so you can hide it or show it off.

Firsts, and Still Growing
2019
HIDEit SPORTS launches, and the one-piece horizontal bat mount becomes the first of its kind. Before it, bat displays were mostly homemade from wood.
2020
The DSkate becomes the first complete skateboard display mount anywhere. The idea started with a paper towel holder.
2021
Customers wanted more ways to display a collection, so we added crossed-bat displays and board racks.
2024
Our Glove Mounts start showing up where the athletes train: the Tulane Green Wave baseball locker room, alongside new small-ball and field hockey mounts.
2025
Softball, XL ball mounts, VBat Pro, puck displays. The list keeps growing because the gear never stops piling up.

HIDEit opens its doors, and AV integrators start mounting with us soon after.
2013
We walk the floor at our first CEDIA show, the home technology integration expo, and the Pro AV world starts calling for our adjustable steel mounts.
2018
Digital signage gets its own steel, with the BrightSign Bar and Uni-VESA Bar.
2019
Conference rooms and offices join the list, with mounts for the Barco ClickShare and Dell OptiPlex Micro.
2020
Smart-home integrators get the Control4 EA-1 mount, built to their spec.
2021
Server rooms get a power brick rack mount, because even the backstage gear deserves to be out of the way.
2024
Installers add Starlink and soundbar mounts to the list, right alongside everything else we build for them.
