I love the mount, love the fact that it allows me to mount it to a VESA hole on the back of my TV!
That said, I have an articulating mount and the TV was mounted to it using a swiveling plate. Being that the plate used standard M6 screws to mount in, and there was plenty of clearance around it for any Apple TV mounts. So I found the HIDEit mounts on Amazon, placed an order, and tried it out.
Here’s where the problem came in - the M6 screws that came with the mount didn’t reach through the plate, stand-off (required since my LG tv has a curve to the back and will not allow a flush mount with the swivel plate), and HIDEit mount. So I tried the M6 screw that came with my articulating mount, and discovered that the head was a mushroom style head. The ones that came with the HIDEit mount were countersunk. The mushroom style head prevented my AppleTV from sliding into the mount.
A quick trip to Home Depot, and 90 cents later, I had an M6, 16mm length bolt with a countersunk head, that allowed it to be mounted to the plate.
Only thing I might suggest is adding an extra screw for those of us who are using a mounting plate.
