FEATURED HIDEit CUSTOMER: Dennis
Skaters, are you looking for cool ways to store and display your favorite boards? This HIDEit customer's setup is sure to inspire you!
WHO IS DENNIS?
When we saw the photos that Dennis submitted for our #afterHIDEit Monthly Contest, we were quickly impressed by how cool his skateboard display turned out. So, we decided to do the next best thing— feature him and his skateboard room!
Back in his teen years, Dennis used to skate in Santa Cruz, California. As a teenager, he couldn't afford to purchase any of the skateboards that he wanted. But now that he can finally afford to buy all the boards that he wanted, he started collecting them.
WHY DID HE HIDEit?
As a skater and a collector, Dennis had collected a total of 19 skateboards and he needed a way to keep them safe and off the floor. So when he found HIDEit Mounts on Facebook, he decided to try out the skateboard wall mount.
With the HIDEit Vertical Display Skateboard Mount (DSkate), he's able to vertically store his boards while showing off the custom decks. HIDEit's unique U-shape steel bar cradles the trucks to securely hold the board in place, while the rubber dip coating prevents the bar from scratching the board. There's nothing like it on the market for complete skateboards!
"You can display the deck's underside, where the graphics and the trucks and wheels are... I get to display my skateboards so they are not laying on the ground!" said Dennis.
Some of his favorite boards include Rob Roskopp, Jeff Kendal, and Winkowski.
HOW DID HE INSTALLit?
Dennis built his skateboard room in a detached garage, which then turned into a man cave through the process.
With his amazing collection, showing off the graphics when mounting a skateboard on the wall is one of the biggest things. Using the HIDEit DSkate, he's able to do just that while still keeping his boards safely stored.
"I installed the mounts so that the skateboards were all leveled, and I used HIDEit Mounts to show the graphics on the bottom of the decks, and the mounts are hidden!"
His favorite board on the HIDEit DSkate?
Of course, the Santa Cruz Bicycles co-founder, Rob Roskopp Face Decks! Dennis got to see him skate back in the 80's, and he's someone he's always looked up to when it comes to skating.
WHATS NEXT?
So far, Dennis has collected 19 skateboards, and built this now amazing setup all by himself. What's next is...
"Collect all the OG skater guys decks."
